Through our expanding footprint and reach throughout South Africa, with years of experience nationally and internationally, we have built a reputation in disputes, analytical problem solving, criminal law, commercial law, property law, acquisition and disposal of assets, competition commission matters, asset forfeiture unit matters, subrogated insurance litigation and alternative dispute resolution and family office legal services.
Pierre du Toit has his right of appearance in the High Court and has appeared in and argued in over 50 different Courts across South Africa.

Our Story
Pierre completed Matric at St Johns College in Johannesburg, South Africa before completing his LLB at Stellenbosch University.
After founding a legal practice, Pierre acted as the firm’s in-house counsel on a vast variety of matters. Pierre holds the right of appearance in the High Courts, and as such, has appeared in, and argued in over 50 different courts across South Africa in both High Courts, Regional Courts, and Magistrates Courts.
Pierre has been exposed to commercial transactions in so far as multimillion ZAR and Pound Sterling merges and acquisitions are concerned both locally and abroad. Pierre has further successfully defended clients on multiple culpable homicide trials and worked closely with multi-billion Rand organisations and family offices.
Pierre has run trials for a lead South African insurance underwriter across South Africa, and through this exposure, developed a keen knack for trials whilst gaining invaluable court confidence.
Pierre has had vast exposure to mediation and negotiation across various disciplines of law. Pierre has a positive attitude and is solution oriented. He has spoken at internationally attended events, authored various publications, speaking at the Annual Conference for Attorneys, and has been featured in the De Rebus.
Pursuant to Pierre being absorbed into a private family office on a full-time basis, he gained experience in multiple jurisdictions on a broad variety of matters. He assisted the family office with a European expansion; where Pierre was generally responsible for negotiations and communications regarding legal issues across the group’s reach with all relevant external parties.
Pierre attended Harvard Business School in Boston, USA, where he successfully completed a course on Family Office Wealth Management. Furthermore, in pursuit of his love for law and problem solving, Pierre established PDT INC with the view of developing and investing in property, servicing family offices from a legal support perspective, and assisting clients generally with his specialised skill set.
Covid brought about a heightened complexity, which Pierre now sees as a catalyst to his global reach, development, growth, and exposure. It is with this backing, that PDT INC was founded.
Pierre has successfully raised equity and has reach to various HNWI in respect of VC, seed raising, and or development and investment opportunities across a broad sector of industries.
